Being quiet doesn't mean I have nothing to say.
It doesn't mean my opinion isn't important. Sometimes it means I'm in disagreement and don't want to rock the boat by offering an opinion that's different than yours.
Sometimes I'm confused but intrigued enough to want to understand the message you're trying to convey.
Sometimes I've lost all respect for you because of something you said.
And sometimes I don't even care, and will try to change the subject-
