An answer looking for a question

I would be tired too.

Not slighting anyone, but, there's

something about seeing a black man holding his black woman that always makes me smile.

Maybe it's because I never saw this act of love, tenderness and affection at home when I was growing up, or on tv or in movies

or out in the streets. I only saw black women

like my mom, and my aunts, and their mom,

tired from trying to be both mother and father,

and sleeping alone.
