u look at me
and smile when i smile
and believe I’m being a comedian
when I speak of
success,
but
Onedayimgonnabesomebody:
u’ll see
me
and will remember the time
when
I said
it would occur
& who will be the fool then?
looking down at me
patronizing me;
the arms folded
through your voluntary assumption of equality with myself
of whom you regard as inferior;
like the earth
I will slowly orbit beyond past around and back towards you
looming large.
you will blink
& be amazed
at what you see
&
will
wish
you treated me
better

This poem's like a Langston Hughes-style to it. I love it. But one thing I would change. You're already somebody.
