On a side note

I have to thank a friend.  I'm not sure he's still a friend because I haven't heard from him since the last time I called him, which was 6 months ago.
I have to thank him. He sucks at initiating communication, but the friends I've met through him are excellent at it. They told me over the weekend that they hadn't heard from him in a year. We all know he's still alive because he posts mundane, happy stuff on facebook all the time.

So, I'm thanking him. 

Perhaps my meeting him served a purpose-to meet the friends I hung out with over the weekend.
