Mavis Staples Time Waits For No One

even if

I'm going to forgive someone, even if she didn't ask for my forgiveness.The weight of the grudge is heavy, like carrying a knapsack  full of bricks. I want to remove those bricks. I'd rather carry in my knapsack new  bakeware that I'm always purchasing from Williams & Sonoma or Sur La Table, or baking ingredients from the grocery store.

Waiting

I'm waiting for some  news. The answer keeps getting postponed. I've been told in a round-about way that I will benefit from the news,  but until it's made official, until the announcement is made, i'm still waiting, anxiously.  It's killing not just me, but some of my coworkers as well.
