- First of all, I love GOD. Proud Christian here! I love the smell of baked goods, seeing dads with their sons at the barbershop, couples walking down the street holding hands, I love my friends and their kids and their dogs and cats and my cats. I love poetry, jazz, old school R&B, Hip hop, Gospel, House, architecture, writing, and baking. I love compliments about my baking, I love Paris, Scarborough Ontario, Latino culture, nappy hair, and the sound of kids laughing. The first thing I do every morning after I crawl out of bed is get on my knees to thank God for letting me see another day. You're right, Moanerpliciity!I had a hard time narrowing it down to 10. This morning I realized both Vanessa Willams' and Kelly Washington, and Nicole Ari Parker wasn't on the list. I might have to do 'another 10 dimes' , and then others, because there are so many beautiful black women out there. And you're right about Beverly Johnson. She was my first crush. I had a bedroom wall covered with her pics. I just remembered. Naomi Campbell. Now how the hell did I forget her? I thought of Paula Patton, and I had her as #10, but I came across Malinda Williams and I had to post her instead. I might have about 3 or 4 'another set of dimes' to post!
You're also right about Tika Sumpter. I also have to add Anika Noni Rose, and Taraji P Henson. Damn, there are so many. and I know I'm missing more. Also Wendy Raquel Robinson. And others
Yes, indeed, from beginning to end. I really liked that you added Malinda Williams to the mix. Not many recognize her beauty and sexiness, which is unfortunate, cause if you've ever watched Soul Food ... it was for the world to see.
Sanaa Lathan and Meagan Good are so fine they should be illegal. Halle, too.
Thanks Don, great minds think alike. I LOVE Malinda Williams, Sanaa Lathan, and Meagan Good, and I can't have a top 10 list without them. And of course, without Halle Berry.
