today
a friend and I had a discussion about karma,
about how what we put out in the universe comes back to us,
like a boomerang.
In Christian circles we refer to karma
as reaping what we sow...
reminding me of when I told my nephew that if you planted tulip bulbs, then tulips will grow,
and if you planted poison ivy seeds, then poison ivy will grow.
I told him to always know what is being planted so that that thing
you want to grow, will grow.
Analogies work the best with him, when making a point.
my friend asked if we could reap what others had sown.
i asked if he meant, could we suffer from the wrongdoing of others,
or if we could gain from the good of others,
and,
as I was asking the question,
I thought about the US economy,
and I answered it myself--
"Yes, actually. Most of the United States is reaping what Bush had sown--
