On today, October 14

in 1964, at the age of thirty-five, Martin Luther King, Jr., was the youngest man to have received the Nobel Peace Prize. When notified of his selection, he announced that he would turn over the prize money of $54,123 to the furtherance of the civil rights movement.

The fact that he was never a wealthy man & still GAVE his prize money to a Larger Cause speaks volumes for the Spirit of this Man.

"His Life Was Gentle. And The Elements So Mix'd Within Him That Nature Might Stand Up And Say To The World: 'This Was a Man!'"

Although it was centuries earlier, Shakespeare might well had be describing Dr. King w/ those words.
