(inspired by a phone call this morning)
once upon a time
there was 'like',
and it grew so tall
it became love
and it scraped the sky.
seen from all hemispheres
with the naked eye.
seen by God.
it was rooted deeply.
intertwining:
it grew thick.
having taken a long time to arrive
it was able to withstand outside forces:
finances
family
unemployment
long distance
career paths
culture
racism
it continued to grow,
becoming comfortable
becoming complacent enough
easy enough to finally sleep with both eyes closed.
but it was able to withstand everything but
-religion.

Isn't it ironic that though we both love God, it was religion that tore us apart?

Hmmmm This sounds really tough and emotional!
yeah it was. my ex- shakara keeps coming back, everytime a new man has done her wrong. i haven't yet figured out to get her to stop depending on me.
